About
Twenty years of stairs and floors.
A Northern Virginia stair and flooring company, built on referrals since 2011.
Our story
From carpet helper to stair specialist.
My name is Peter, and I’ve spent more than 20 years in flooring and remodeling. It started in high school as a carpet installer’s helper, and I’ve loved the craft ever since.
In 2011 I founded my own company, Peter’s Flooring, and built it one job at a time through repeat customers and referrals. For 13 years we didn’t even have a website. Word of mouth, local newsletters and neighborhood Facebook groups kept us busy.
Nova Stair Remodeling is that same business, focused on what I enjoy most: staircases. New treads and risers, railings and balusters, the floors that meet them, and custom woodwork, all held to the standard I’d want in my own home.
We work in homes all across Northern Virginia, which is what NOVA in our name stands for. Thank you for considering us. I look forward to working on your home.
